Archie & Friends #62

Published during Archie's 60th anniversary year, this issue of Archie & Friends opens with a wonderfully chaotic cover by Stan Goldberg and Bob Smith: a very reluctant, kicking-and-screaming Principal Weatherbee is being dragged back toward Riverdale High by a no-nonsense woman, while Archie, Veronica, Betty, and the rest of the gang look on with expressions ranging from amusement to disbelief. A "Welcome Back from Summer Vacation" sign in the background says it all — someone clearly isn't ready for the school year to resume. It's a perfectly timed snapshot of end-of-summer dread that any student (or principal) can relate to.
