“An Eye for Fashion?”

In "An Eye for Fashion?", Archie’s confidence in his physique takes a playful turn when Mr. Lodge challenges him to prove that strength of character matters more than muscle. With Jughead quick to point out the absurdity of the idea, Veronica and Archie find themselves caught in a lighthearted debate about values—though not quite ready to give up their usual antics just yet. Written by Frank Doyle and brought to life with Dan DeCarlo Jr.’s expressive art, Jon D’Agostino’s inks, Barry Grossman’s colors, and Bill Y.’s crisp lettering, this 1981 classic features a cover by Dan DeCarlo, capturing the moment with his signature charm.

Archie is bragging about exercise and muscle when Mr. Lodge points out that body strength is easy and that strength of character is hard to attain. He suggests Archie give up dating Veronica. Jughead points out that by following that logic Veronica will never be able to date again. She and Archie decide character building will have to come some other time.
