Who is Gleep?

Gleep is one of the alien blob creatures from Hanna-Barbera's animated series, companion to the Herculoids — the bizarre, loyal creatures defending the planet Quasar alongside Zandor, Tara, and fellow Herculoids Zok, Igoo, and Gloop.

A charming relic of the Bronze Age, Gleep made their comic debut in 1978's TV Stars #3, brought to life by the talented team of Mark Evanier and Paul Norris. This DC character shares their adventures with an impressive roster including Space Ghost, Zok, Igoo, Gloop, and Tara — a who's who of Hanna-Barbera's animated universe translated onto the page. Gleep's presence has proven surprisingly durable, popping up across four decades and finding a particularly warm home in the celebrated Future Quest and Future Quest Presents series, where classic cartoon characters got the comic treatment they always deserved. Modest in total appearances but rich in nostalgic charm, Gleep is a delightful find for any collector with a love for the intersection of Saturday morning animation and comics history.
