“An Eye for Fashion?”

The Riverdale High Charity Car Wash is in full swing on this cheerful 1985 digest cover, with Betty scrubbing the wheels, a enthusiastic girl polishing the chrome on a bright red car, and a very relaxed Archie more interested in the nearby picnic lunch than any actual washing. Dan DeCarlo's cover art captures the gang's good-natured chaos with his trademark warmth and humor. At 128 pages, this digest is packed with stories — including "An Eye for Fashion?" — making it a genuinely fun slice of Riverdale life.

Archie is bragging about exercise and muscle when Mr. Lodge points out that body strength is easy and that strength of character is hard to attain. He suggests Archie give up dating Veronica. Jughead points out that by following that logic Veronica will never be able to date again. She and Archie decide character building will have to come some other time.
