Clark Kent, aware of the truth, shows up at her door to set the record straight, but before he can say more, he’s called away by his signal watch, leaving Lois with more questions than answers.

In "A Friend in Need," Superman responds to a distress call from Jimmy’s signal watch, arriving in Millersburg just as Kryptonite exposure begins to drain his strength. With his powers fading, Jimmy leads him to a hidden cave before braving the wilderness to seek help.

In "The Dark Where Madness Lies," Superman, weakened by kryptonite, mistakes the vulnerable Man-Bat for a monster and lashes out in fear. When clarity returns, he realizes his mistake and turns to Man-Bat for help—despite the very real danger still lingering in the shadows.
