Zander Cannon

Zander Cannon (born November 1, 1972) is an American cartoonist best known for his inventive, character-driven genre work, particularly the police-procedural-meets-superhero series *Top 10* and its fantasy spin-off *Smax*, as well as the monster-prison epic *Kaijumax*. Born in the United States, Cannon entered comics in the early 1990s, quickly establishing himself as a versatile artist, writer, colorist, inker, and letterer. His most frequent collaborator has been writer Alan Moore, with whom he co-created the sprawling, detail-rich world of *Top 10* and its sequel series. Cannon’s signature style blends clean, expressive linework with a keen eye for world-building and visual storytelling, often infusing fantastical or sci-fi premises with genuine emotional depth. He is the sole creator of *Kaijumax*, a critically acclaimed series that reimagines classic giant monsters as inmates in a maximum-security prison, exploring themes of justice, redemption, and ecology. Over a career spanning from 1993 to 2026, Cannon has contributed to over 120 issues, with notable work on *The Replacement God* and *Sleep*.
