The fifth issue of Image Comics' Sleep arrives with a cover by Zander Cannon that's as unsettling as it is striking — a young woman with braces stares out with quiet, unnerving confidence while a thin red line of blood drips down from the title above her head. Roses bloom in outline across one side of her face, a shattered trophy sits nearby, and scattered papers surround her against a dark grid background, all rendered in moody grayscale with that single slash of red. Cannon's solo effort across every creative role makes this a genuinely personal vision, and the imagery promises something layered and deeply strange.
