Top 10 #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis December 1999 issue of Alan Moore's Top 10 presents one of the more wryly inventive covers of the series: a police lineup featuring a towering green reptilian figure in a leather jacket, flanked by four very uneasy-looking suspects — a heavyset man in a superhero "A" costume, a woman in a purple dress, a younger woman in frontier-style gear, and a grizzled, cigarette-smoking man in blue and gold — all backed by a standard height-measurement wall as an off-panel voice commands, "Face the window." Gene Ha and Zander Cannon bring their detailed, grounded linework to this winking procedural tableau, perfectly capturing the series' premise of superhero police work in a world where powered beings are just part of the beat. It's a sharp, character-rich cover that makes issue #4 feel like exactly the kind of comic that rewards a closer look.
