Rick and Morty Presents: Rick in a Box #1
"Rick in a Box" delivers a delightfully absurd twist on the usual chaos, as a botched shrinking experiment strands Rick and Morty in a recompression box, forcing them into a bizarre quarantine. While the duo’s absence allows the world to inexplicably heal itself—making Jerry oddly happy and everything just… better—things take a very hairy turn when Jerry uses a mysterious nano-conditioner. Written by Rafer Roberts and brought to life with bold, energetic art by Zander Cannon (pencils, inks, letters, and colors by Cannon and Lupi McGinty), this Oni Press one-shot stands out with its quirky premise and sharp, surreal humor, all wrapped in a cover by Zander Cannon.

When a panicked Morty brings himself and Rick out of a "shrinking adventure" too fast, the pair suffer a bad case of the "sub-atomic bends", and must sequester themselves in a recompression box for a lengthy period in order to remedy the situation. Meanwhile, without Rick's wacky experiments to keep messing things up, the world becomes an increasingly perfect place (even for Jerry) with all bad things righting themselves as if nature were healing itself. All's well until Jerry douses his showered head with "Rick's Nano Conditioner" leading to the country being overrun with Rick's hair.
