Will Sliney
1982–
Will Sliney, born in 1982, is an Irish comic book artist best known for co-creating the Star Wars character Ren and for his dynamic work across Marvel’s line. He entered the industry in 2009 and quickly established himself with a clean, energetic style suited to both superhero action and science fiction. His early credits include the graphic novel *Celtic Warrior: The Legend of Cú Chulainn*, which drew on his Irish heritage, and the monthly series *Fearless Defenders* for Marvel. Sliney’s most prominent work came as the regular artist on *Spider-Man 2099*, where he defined the futuristic web-slinger’s look for a new generation, and on *Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider*. He also contributed to *Solo: A Star Wars Story Adaptation* and *Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge*, furthering his presence in the Star Wars universe. Beyond Marvel, he has worked on *Farscape* comics. As of 2025, Sliney remains active in the industry, having served as artist, colorist, or inker on over 100 issues. His legacy includes helping expand the Star Wars mythos and bringing a polished, kinetic energy to modern superhero comics.
