Kathryn Immonen
Kathryn Immonen (née Kuder; born 1971) is a Canadian comic book and webcomic writer best known for her work at Marvel Comics. She broke into the industry in the late 2000s, quickly making a name for herself with a sharp, character-driven voice. Immonen is most recognized for her runs on *Runaways* and *Journey into Mystery*, as well as the limited series *Patsy Walker: Hellcat*. She also wrote *Heralds*, *X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back*, *Operation: S. I. N.*, and *Wolverine and Jubilee*. In 2010, she received the Kimberly Yale Award for Best New Talent for her work on *Runaways*. Beyond her Marvel output, Immonen has co-created several webcomics with her husband, artist Stuart Immonen, including *Never as Bad as You Think* and *Moving Pictures*, the latter of which was collected in print by Top Shelf Productions in 2010. Her writing is noted for its wit, emotional depth, and strong female protagonists. She remains an active and respected voice in the industry, with a body of work that balances superheroics with intimate, personal storytelling.
