Patsy Walker: Hellcat #3

Issue three of this five-part Marvel limited series finds Patsy Walker's Hellcat standing arms-crossed and coolly composed atop an enormous white wolf with glowing red eyes, surrounded by a horde of similarly red-eyed rabbits and a hulking dark beast lurking in the shadows — a blood-red moon hanging over the whole eerie tableau. The cover, penciled and inked by Stuart Immonen, has a wonderfully unsettling fairy-tale quality that suits the "Snowball Effect" arc perfectly. With Kathryn Immonen writing and David Lafuente on interior art, this series has a distinct, energetic voice that makes Patsy's supernatural Alaskan adventures genuinely hard to put down.
