Wolverine and Jubilee: Curse of the Mutants #[nn]

Dec 2011 · Marvel · 14.99 USD; 16.99 CAD
“Cursed Part 1”

In "Cursed Part 1," Wolverine drags a tormented Jubilee across the frozen wastes of Siberia, chasing a trail that leads back to a cargo container filled with something far more sinister than contraband. As the two navigate a haunting, vampiric haze, Wolverine pushes Jubilee to confront her new nature—through brutal honesty, hard lessons, and a gruff kind of care. Written by Kathryn Immonen and illustrated with moody precision by Phil Noto, this gripping chapter captures a pivotal moment in their uneasy alliance. The cover by Olivier Coipel and Mark Morales sets the tone with a stark, haunting image of the pair in the snow.

In a vampiric haze, Jubilee may have killed a cargo container full of illegal immigrants. Wolverine tracks the container back to its source in Siberia and drags Jubilee along for the trip. Trying to break her out of her funk about being a bloodsucker, Wolverine beats up on her a bit and then talks her ears off.
