Gordon Rennie is a Scottish comics writer best known for his extensive work in British science-fiction and fantasy comics, particularly for *2000 AD* and the *Judge Dredd Megazine*. Born in Scotland, he began his comics career in the early 1990s, quickly establishing a reputation for darkly humorous, action-packed stories. His early signature work includes *White Trash: Moronic Inferno*, a gleefully crude and violent series. He became a prolific contributor to *2000 AD*, writing numerous strips including *Judge Dredd*, *Strontium Dog*, and co-creating the Roman-era sci-fi series *Aquila* with artist Enrique Alcatena. Rennie also wrote extensively for the Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 universes, penning novels and comic strips for *Inferno!* magazine. In 2008, he announced a shift away from comics to focus on video game writing, citing better pay and conditions, but he later returned to the medium, writing new series for *2000 AD*, Titan Comics (including *Doctor Who: The Fourth Doctor*), and others. His later work includes the epic *Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files* collections. Rennie remains a respected figure in British comics, known for his sharp dialogue and inventive world-building.
