Three terrified humans — one cowering, one wielding what looks like a weapon, one recoiling in horror — are utterly dwarfed by a massive, fang-filled cone-shaped creature looming over them on this delightfully unhinged cover by Steve Roberts (pencils) and Simon Davis (inks). The tagline "A Terror from Beyond Time and Space… The Shape of Things to Cone!" sets the tone perfectly, promising the kind of gleefully absurd sci-fi horror that 2000 AD has always done so well. Prog 1438 from May 2005 also features "Radstock Part 2," with story and art by Gordon Rennie and Karl Richardson — a fine mid-week read for fans of sharp writing and sharp teeth.
