Mister Glum
Mister Glum is a diminutive, megalomaniacal alien tyrant who first menaced Savage Dragon in 2002. Hailing from a tiny world where he ruled absolutely, his arrival on Earth set him on an obsessive quest to conquer a planet far larger than anything he had ever dominated.
Few villains in Image Comics carry quite the same delightfully sinister charm as Mister Glum, who burst onto the scene in Savage Dragon #104 in 2002, courtesy of the endlessly inventive Erik Larsen. A Modern Age creation through and through, Glum has proven remarkably durable β racking up some 60 catalogued appearances across more than two decades, sharing pages with Dragon, Angel Dragon, and Mighty Man, among others, with two of those appearances earning key-issue recognition from collectors. His reach even extends beyond the Savage Dragon universe into unexpected corners like G.I. Joe and the Image Holiday Special 2005, which tells you something about how thoroughly this pint-sized schemer has embedded himself in the Image cosmos. If you're exploring the wilder, more irreverent side of modern superhero comics, Mister Glum is exactly the kind of character who rewards the curious reader.

Trivia
- Erik Larsen has written more of Mister Glum's comics than any other writer in our catalog β 33 issues.
