Huckleberry Hound
Huckleberry Hound is a slow-talking, easygoing blue hound dog and one of Hanna-Barbera's classic cartoon characters, adapted into comic-book form by Dell (and later others including Marvel). He good-naturedly stumbles through various odd jobs and misadventures, always remaining cheerfully unflappable.
That easy-going blue hound with the unhurried Southern drawl made his comics debut in 1960's Four Color #1141, brought to the page by artist Harvey Eisenberg right at the heart of the Silver Age. Over an impressive 32-year run, Huckleberry Hound became a fixture across some of Marvel's most beloved Hanna-Barbera titles β Laff-A-Lympics, Scooby-Doo, and The Flintstones among them β sharing panels with an all-star crowd including Quick Draw McGraw, Fred Flintstone, Scooby-Doo, and Dynomutt. With 67 catalog appearances and four recognized key issues to his name, this lovable, laid-back character is a genuine Silver Age charmer and a rewarding quarry for any collector with a soft spot for the golden era of Hanna-Barbera comics.
