Fnatte
Fnatte is the Swedish name for one of Donald Duck's three mischievous nephews — Huey, Dewey, or Louie — the trio of energetic young ducks who famously came to live with their Uncle Donald and became central figures in Disney comics worldwide.
Fnatte is a Golden Age gem who first stepped onto the page in the very first issue of Kalle Anka & C:o in 1948 — as auspicious a debut as a character could hope for — brought to life by the creative team of Axel Norbeck and Paul Murry. Over an impressive run spanning five decades through 1999, Fnatte racked up 117 catalog appearances across beloved Swedish titles like Kalle Anka & C:o, Joakim (Farbror Joakim), and Kalle Ankas bästisar, keeping company with some of the most iconic figures in the Hemmets Journal universe — Farbror Joakim, Musse Pigg, Långben, Kajsa Anka, and Mimmi Pigg among them. With three key-issue appearances flagged by collectors, this is a character whose longevity and pedigree reward a closer look, a charming piece of Scandinavian comics history that quietly endured from the Golden Age all the way to the turn of the millennium.
#1/1948
