In "Farbror Joakim och jakten på friskusbjörnarna," Joakim is invited by von Pluring to hunt for elusive friskusbjörn on a remote plot of land. Though von Pluring claims the land is worthless—lacking oil, he insists—his sudden offer of oil to lure Joakim raises suspicion. When Joakim discovers an ancient treasure hidden in a nearby cave, the hunt takes an unexpected turn, turning the deal into something far more valuable than either man originally imagined.
