Egghead
Elihas Starr was a brilliant but corrupt nuclear physicist who was caught selling government secrets and subsequently blacklisted from the scientific community. Bitter and vengeful, he turned his genius-level intellect toward crime, becoming the villainous Egghead and a persistent enemy of Ant-Man.
Few Silver Age villains wear their menace quite so literally as Egghead, who hatched from the imagination of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in Tales to Astonish #38 back in 1962 and has been a thorn in Marvel's side ever since. Over more than six decades of publication, this cerebral schemer has kept remarkably distinguished company β crossing paths with the likes of Hank Pym, the Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, Clint Barton, and T'Challa across the pages of The Avengers and beyond. With affiliations on both sides of the moral ledger β the Avengers and the notorious Masters of Evil β Egghead occupies a fascinating, complicated corner of the Marvel Universe. Four key-issue appearances signal that collectors know exactly how significant this egg-domed antagonist really is; if you haven't cracked into his history yet, now's the time.
