Who is Dubbilex?

Created by Project Cadmus through advanced genetic engineering, Dubbilex is a DNAlien — one of the lab-grown humanoid creatures produced by the top-secret genetics facility. Distinguished by his grey skin and prominent cranial horns, he possesses powerful telepathic and telekinetic abilities.

Dubbilex made his entrance in the early Bronze Age, debuting in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #136 in 1971 — right in the thick of Jack Kirby's legendary run on that title — and has kept remarkable company ever since, sharing pages with Superman, Clark Kent, The Guardian, Green Lantern, and The Flash across nearly five decades of DC history. With a presence spread across Adventures of Superman, Action Comics, and Superman himself, this distinctive figure carved out a genuine niche in the Man of Steel's corner of the DC Universe. Two of his appearances carry key-issue status, a mark of how meaningfully he's woven into comics history rather than fading into the background. For collectors who love digging into the richer, stranger textures of the Bronze Age and beyond, Dubbilex is exactly the kind of rewarding discovery that makes DC's mythology so endlessly deep.
