Apocalypse Nerd

Peter Bagge's Apocalypse Nerd (2005–present, Dark Horse) is a six-issue satirical series that transplants his signature squiggly, expressive style and sharp social commentary into a post-apocalyptic setting. Bagge writes and draws the story of two Seattle slackers who flee the city after a nuclear attack, only to find that survival in the wilderness is just as absurd and fraught with human folly as the world they left behind. A darkly funny, character-driven take on end-of-the-world tropes, it stands as a notable departure from Bagge's more famous suburban and alternative-comedy work.
