Apocalypse Nerd #4

Peter Bagge's post-civilization comedy continues with issue four of six, and the cover sets the tone perfectly: a bedraggled, bug-eyed fellow named Perry sits chained to a doghouse bearing his name, looking thoroughly miserable beside a battered trash can and a food bowl also labeled "Perry." The image says everything about the indignities survival can heap on a person, delivered in Bagge's wonderfully rubbery, expressive cartooning style. If the end of the world was supposed to be dramatic, nobody told Perry.
