Peter Bagge's six-issue Dark Horse series comes to a close with this final chapter, and the cover captures his signature rubbery, sardonic energy perfectly. A camouflage-clad figure clutching an assault rifle dominates the foreground while a military cargo truck careens wildly on a winding mountain road behind him — the kind of chaotic, darkly comedic imagery Bagge does better than almost anyone. It's a fittingly frantic sendoff to one of alt-comics' most entertainingly anxious survival stories.
