Scrooge, who is fuming because he has been denied membership in the Archeologists' Club, takes the ducks with him on a flight over the Yucatan, where they sight some Mayan ruins whose discovery will get Scrooge into the Club. Two scoundrels who have just been thrown out of the Club follow the ducks to the ruins and trap them in a pool called the "Well of Sacrifice."
