In "De kroon van de Mayakoning [aflevering 1]," Scrooge Duck, still seething over being denied membership in the Archeologists' Club, takes Donald, Kwik, Kwek, Kwak, and Oom Dagobert on a flight over the Yucatan in search of ancient ruins that could finally earn him a spot. When the group discovers a hidden site, two disgruntled ex-members—Chemenerd [Venijn McSnekke] and his partner—arrive on the scene, determined to steal the treasure and trap the ducks in the legendary "Well of Sacrifice."
