Scrooge McDuck, Launchpad McQuack, and one of the nephews find themselves hemmed in by a pair of enormous, shadowy creatures on the cover of this July 1989 Gladstone issue — and the story title "Windfall on Mt. G'Zoontight" promises the kind of wild, far-flung adventure the hit TV series did so well. William Van Horn handles both the cover pencils and inks, delivering a scene that's equal parts foreboding and fun, with Scrooge clutching his cane and looking characteristically unimpressed despite the looming danger on all sides. If you enjoy DuckTales at its most imaginative, this one looks like a treat.
