“The Lazarus Contract Part 1”

In "The Lazarus Contract Part 1," the Teen Titans and Titans unite to confront Deathstroke, who’s trapped in a time loop trying to prevent Grant’s death—each attempt failing. As the team journeys back to a pivotal moment before the original Teen Titans ever met Deathstroke, a desperate choice forces Robin to make a shocking sacrifice, unraveling the timeline and sending Deathstroke spiraling into the Speed Force. With Deathstroke caught in the Speed Force’s vast consciousness, the Titans must now work together to bring him back—before he’s lost forever. Written by Christopher Priest, Benjamin Percy, and Dan Abnett, with art by Paul Pelletier and inks by Andrew Hennessy, and featuring a striking cover by Ivan Reis.

Deathstroke travels back in time repeatedly to try and prevent Grant's death but fails each time. The Teen Titans and Titans join forces to stop Deathstroke and travel back to a time before the original Teen Titans first met Deathstroke; Robin kills Kid Flash to change the timeline, jettisoning Deathstroke back to the present, while Kid Flash is revived. Deathstroke is lost in the Speed Force but the Titans join forces to rescue him. After his exposure to a higher consciousness within the Speed Force, Slade declares he's done being Deathstroke.
