Teen Titans #8
Teen Titans Vol. 6 #8 is the second chapter of 'The Lazarus Contract,' the first major crossover of the DC Rebirth era to unite the Titans and the Teen Titans in the same story — the first time those two distinct lineups had shared a book together. Consciously titled as a spiritual successor to the classic 'Judas Contract,' the arc forced a reckoning with Deathstroke's decades-long grudge against the Titans franchise, re-anchoring Slade Wilson's origin in Rebirth continuity while simultaneously staging the first face-to-face meeting between Damian Wayne's young squad and Dick Grayson's adult team. The issue also serves as a key node in the ongoing dual-Wally-West subplot that ran through DC Rebirth — the startling moment when Wallace West (Kid Flash) discovers that 'the Flash' is also named Wally West becomes one of the crossover's most charged dramatic beats.

The issue was published on May 17, 2017, during DC's Rebirth initiative, which had launched the sixth volume of Teen Titans in 2016 under writer Benjamin Percy with artist Khoi Pham. 'The Lazarus Contract' was a collaborative effort scripted by Percy (Teen Titans), Dan Abnett (Titans), and Christopher Priest (Deathstroke), with Percy handling the script for this particular chapter from a story breakdown co-plotted by all three writers, pencils by Khoi Pham and Phil Hester, inks by Wade Von Grawbadger, colors by Jim Charalampidis, and letters by Corey Breen. The regular cover was by Mike McKone and the variant by Phil Jimenez, with Marie Javins, Alex Antone, and Brittany Holzherr serving as editors.
