From the New 52 era of DC's cosmic corner comes Threshold #5, where the cover — penciled and inked by Howard Porter — pits a determined, silver-haired Caul against a towering, green-skinned Brainiac whose glowing eyes and reaching hand dominate the composition with real menace. The cover's own tagline makes the stakes plain: "Caul Confronts the Power of Brainiac," and Porter renders that clash with crackling green energy flaring between the two figures. Written by Keith Giffen with art from Tom Raney and Phil Winslade, and rounding out the package with a bonus Larfleeze adventure, this is a satisfying chunk of far-flung DC space action.
