“The Deadly Living Talismans!”

In "The Deadly Living Talismans!", Thor faces a twisted deception when Loki's machinations are exposed—revealing that the real Jake Olson was resurrected and manipulated into committing crimes, while his twin brother Loren was framed and imprisoned. With Odin sealing Loki's spirit within Loren's body, Thor must finally sever his connection to the Jake Olson identity and forge a new path. Written by Dan Jurgens and illustrated by Jerry Ordway, with colors by Moose Baumann and lettering by RS and Comicraft's Wes Abbott, this pivotal issue redefines Thor’s legacy. The cover by John Romita Jr. and Dick Giordano captures the tension of a god caught between two lives.

It is revealed that Loki resurrected the real Jake Olson and used him to commit crimes to frame Thor's alter ego. Jake passes the evil doer off as his twin brother, Loren, who is thrown in jail. Odin traps Loki's spirit inside the body of Loren indefinitely. Thor breaks his ties and leaves the Jake persona behind.
