Rain-soaked and battle-worn, Frank Castle stares down from the cover of this March 1993 issue with a bloodied face and a raised weapon, lightning crackling through the downpour around him — a striking image rendered by cover penciler Darick Robertson and inker Ron Boyd. The tagline "A Different Kind of Rain Is Falling" sets a grim, atmospheric tone that pairs well with the interior story title, "Lava." With Mike Baron scripting and art from Larry Stroman and Kevin Kobasic, this is a solid entry in the Punisher's early-'90s run.
