The New Teen Titans #25
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this November 1982 issue sets up a genuine standoff: on one side, a dark-costumed Blackfire threatens to unleash the glowing, levitating X'Hal, while across from her the Titans — including Cyborg, Kid Flash, and a young woman in green — hold their ground with a counter-threat aimed right back at her leader. George Pérez's cover art crackles with tension, packing a full cast of figures into a tightly composed scene that makes the "STAND-OFF!" banner feel well-earned. With Paul Kupperberg writing and Curt Swan on interior art, The New Teen Titans #25 delivers a space-faring conflict that looks every bit as dramatic as its title, "War!", promises.

In Eternia, Zodac attempts to warn Prince Adam about a death he has foreseen. Skeletor searches the Dark Sea for the missing half of the Power Sword. On Earth, Superman follows three energy spheres underwater, where he is pulled into a vortex. Superman arrives in Eternia, and is faced with Skeletor, Beast-Man and Mer-Man. Superman gets one half of the Power Sword away from Skeletor, but Skeletor attacks with the remaining half. He-Man arrives and picks up the fallen half, hurling it at Skeletor. The power of the sword disintegrates Skeletor. He-Man dies but is revived by the sword's energies.
