“Spring Break”

In "Spring Break," Jughead Jones gets roped into a prank that backfires spectacularly when Veronica spins a tale about a gum wrapper campaign that'll win basketballs for orphans. Obsessed with proving her wrong, Jughead goes all in—collecting wrappers with manic dedication—only to accidentally spark a real-life publicity stunt from the Chewy-Dewy company. Samm Schwartz handles the art, inks, and lettering with his signature charm, while Stan Goldberg and Rudy Lapick bring the cover to life.

Veronica tries to make a fool out of Jughead by telling him that a gum company will donate basketballs to orphans whenever someone turns in enough gum wrappers. Jughead throws himself into collecting wrappers so intensely that the fictitious campaign gets the attention of the Chewy-Dewy company. They see a great chance for publicity and make the project a reality. Jughead ends up a hero, completely upending Veronica's hoax.
