Jughead and Archie Double Digest #20
In "Paws for Effect," Archie and Jughead’s walk home from a UFO movie becomes a hilarious misadventure as they mistake everything from a flying pizza to an iridescent frisbee for extraterrestrial visitors—only to face a real UFO they stubbornly refuse to believe in. Written by George Gladir and brought to life with vibrant art by Stan Goldberg, inks by Bob Smith, and colors by Barry Grossman, this lighthearted tale captures the duo’s signature humor and disbelief. The cover, by Fernando Ruiz with inks by Bob Smith, perfectly captures the absurdity of the moment.

As they're returning home after seeing a UFO movie, Archie and Jughead start discussing life in space, and keep mistaking various objects for UFOs - a pizza, a plate (thrown out the window by someone who's tired of a cat carrying on outside his window) and an iridescent frisbee. As they continue their walk home, a real UFO flies in front of them, but they refuse to believe that it is actually a UFO. Annoyed that the earthlings refuse acknowledge them, the aliens contact their base and say they're heading to a different planet where residents are more hospitable.
