The Defenders #109
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeAl Milgrom's cover for The Defenders #109 puts the spotlight squarely on Valkyrie, sword raised and golden hair flying as she squares off against a green-and-gold-costumed villainess amid a web of crackling pink energy. Behind them, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and several monstrous figures are caught up in the same chaotic fray, making this a genuinely crowd-pleasing composition full of motion and menace. With a story titled "Vengeance! Cries the Valkyrie!" and a creative team that includes Mark Gruenwald, J. M. DeMatteis, Don Perlin, and Joe Sinnott, this 1982 issue is a fine example of Marvel's non-team at their most entertainingly unpredictable.
