☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume from IDW and Yoe Books collects vintage horror comics centered on the undead, drawn from the pre-Code era. It showcases classic zombie tales originally published in the 1950s, featuring the macabre artwork and grim storytelling that defined the genre before the Comics Code Authority tightened restrictions. Part of The Chilling Archives of Horror Comics! series, it preserves these rare, often gruesome stories for modern readers.
In "I Am a Zombie!", a haunting tale from The Chilling Archives of Horror Comics! #3, Gene Colan’s evocative art brings to life Ralph Sandon’s desperate vow to return stolen pirate gold—bound by his dying father’s final request. As Ralph confronts the cursed legacy of his family, he’s drawn into a terrifying struggle with vengeful pirate ghosts, forcing him to face a fate he never wanted. The cover, a chilling collaboration by Warren Kremer and Lee Elias, captures the story’s eerie tone with striking detail.
