In "The Ghost's Curse!" from Diary of Horror #1 (1952), Jo, a secretary to the glamorous dancer Mona Travis, is driven to murder by gambling debts, forging her will to cover his tracks. But Mona’s spirit won’t rest—haunting Jo with chilling warnings of retribution. As the guilt consumes him, Jo meets a fate far worse than death: trapped in his grave, fully aware, and doomed to rot.
In "The Phantom of Philip Hawks," newlyweds John Allen and Mary Kane set sail on their honeymoon, unaware that John’s jealous rival, Philip Hawks, has cursed their voyage. As the sea grows treacherous and shadows move on their own, the ghost of Philip takes control, turning their dream trip into a nightmare.
