In order to raise some money to help Flash mount his defense, Spider-Man is hired by Silver Sable to help her bring in Jack O' Lantern. Instead, they find themselves up against five of Spider-Man’s foes calling themselves the Sinister Syndicate. Ned leaves Betty. Macendale tries to peddle his services as Jack O' Lantern to the Kingpin and the Rose but is unsuccessful. Sandman is out for a suburban stroll when he notices the Sinister Syndicate drop a roller coaster on Spider-Man and Sable.
