Doctor Octopus's mechanical tentacles coil around a battered, torn-costumed Spider-Man in a suffocating grip — the dynamic cover by John Romita Jr. and Scott Hanna captures a hero very much on the ropes, rendered in a swirling vortex of motion that pulls your eye straight into the struggle. "The Mask" promises Howard Mackie pushing Peter Parker to his limits, with Romita Jr.'s signature intensity making every wrapped limb feel genuinely dangerous.
