Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #38

Cover pencils by Peter Laird and inks by A. C. Farley deliver a genuinely unsettling image: a gaunt, skeletal red creature with jagged teeth and clawed hands confronts two of the Turtles — Michelangelo swinging his nunchaku overhead and Leonardo crouched low with his shell toward the viewer — while a third Turtle peers cautiously from the rocky upper-left corner. The November 1992 installment kicks off a multi-part story, "United We Stand...Divided We Fall Part One," which already hints at tension within the team. It's a solid, creepy cover that earns a spot in any TMNT Adventures run.
