Part two of the "Grand Guignol" arc lands with this March 2000 issue, and Andrew Robinson's cover sets the tone perfectly — Jack Knight, leather jacket and oversized goggles firmly in place, surges low over a rain-slicked city skyline, his cosmic staff blazing with golden energy in his grip. The deep, moody greens bathing Opal City's towers give the whole image an almost theatrical tension that matches the arc's Grand Guignol title perfectly. With James Robinson writing and Peter Snejbjerg on interior art, this is the series at full stride.
