Part of the "Stars My Destination" arc, this April 1999 issue of DC's Starman promises "A Rather Strange Adventure" right on the cover — and the striking image by Tony Harris makes good on that tease. A red-suited, cosmic-rod-wielding figure strides purposefully before a luminous alien citadel rising against a star-filled sky, while a brooding, larger-than-life Jack Knight looms in the background like a watchful ghost. With James Robinson and David Goyer scripting and Peter Snejbjerg on interiors, issue #52 feels like exactly the kind of sprawling, atmospheric chapter this series does so well.
