“Clear Waters Remembered!”

In "Clear Waters Remembered!", Rom and Starshine track mysterious energy readings to the remote Canadian town of Beaver Falls, where they're joined by Alpha Flight in a fight against Wraithcreatures rising from the poisoned waters of Beaver Lake. The dire threat escalates when the Dire Wraiths unleash a tidal wave by manipulating the dammed lake, turning the environment itself into a weapon. Written by Bill Mantlo and illustrated by Mark Bright, with inks by Mel Candido, colors by Ben Sean, and letters by Janice Chiang, this 1984 issue features a dynamic cover by John Byrne.

Rom and Starshine are drawn to the mining town of Beaver Falls in Canada. Alpha Flight also arrives and helps the Spaceknights battle Wraithcreatures that crawl from Beaver Lake which the Dire Wraiths have created from salmon. Once the monsters are destroyed, the Wraiths use the polluted waters of the lake to form a tidal wave that bursts the nearby dam.
