Rom Spaceknight #2 (January 1980) plunges the silver armored Spaceknight directly into a crossfire of blazing laser beams — the cover tagline "Lethal Laserium!" says it all as orange energy bolts crisscross from every direction, explosions erupting around Rom's imposing chrome form. Al Milgrom's cover art captures the kinetic chaos beautifully, with Rom holding his ground at the center of the chaos while armed attackers press in from the flanks. Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema's "Second Coming!" promises an action-packed sophomore issue for one of Marvel's most visually striking sci-fi heroes of 1980.
