In "Identity Crisis: Part One," a 1991 DC classic, a young Robin and a mysterious ally named Clyde find themselves hunted after a dangerous run-in with a ruthless gang. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Tom Lyle, with inks by Bob Smith and colors by Adrienne Roy, the story unfolds with tense momentum as the duo flees through the shadows, only to be pursued by forces both familiar and unknown. Cover by Brian Bolland captures the moment’s urgency, setting the stage for a pivotal chapter in Robin’s journey.
In "Identity Crisis: Part One," Tim struggles with grief over his mother’s death and believes he’s ready to take on the mantle of Robin, though Batman remains unconvinced. At the same time, a mysterious force triggers sudden, violent outbursts in ordinary people, turning them into killers without warning.
In "Identity Crisis Part Two: Without Fear of Consequence ...," Vicki Vale finds herself in peril after uncovering a dangerous conspiracy behind a wave of random violence. As Batman races to save her, Tim, who's pieced together the truth, struggles to warn him in time.
In "Master of Fear," Tim Drake faces a terrifying test of loyalty when he defies Batman’s orders to rescue both Bruce and Vicki from the Scarecrow’s grasp. As the stakes rise and fear takes hold, Tim must confront his own doubts while stepping into the role of Robin with courage and resolve.
In "Big Bad World," Tim Drake—still uncertain about becoming Robin—travels to Paris to train with the monks Rahul Lama and Shen Chi in ancient Tibetan disciplines. There, he crosses paths with a mysterious girl named Ling, whose entanglement with a local gang pulls him into a dangerous confrontation. When he intervenes to help her, he finds himself facing off against a brutal gang attack—just as a familiar figure, Clyde Rawlins, lies beaten in the shadows.
In "The Shepardess," Robin and Clyde find themselves on the run after fending off a gang, only to be shadowed by unseen forces. As Sir Edmund grows impatient and sends more hunters after them, Lady Shiva appears at their hiding place with a warning—someone is coming for them all. With the streets closing in and a new fight brewing, Clyde takes Robin to an old farmhouse to teach her a different way of defending herself.
In "The Destroying Angel," Robin, Jo, and the formidable Lady Shiva race against time to stop a rogue gang from delivering a dangerous biological weapon to Sir Edmund’s hands. With the trail leading from an abandoned farmhouse to a high-stakes showdown in Hong Kong, the trio must outwit a ruthless enemy before the weapon falls into the wrong hands.
In "Strange Company," Robin teams up with the formidable Lady Shiva and the resourceful Clyde as they pursue a dangerous weapon through the streets of Hong Kong. As they close in on the plane’s landing site and follow the weapon to Sir Edmund’s downtown headquarters, the trio prepares for a high-stakes infiltration—while Lady Shiva pushes Robin’s training to new limits.
