About this Collection

This volume collects the first story arc of the 2016 Robin series, focusing on Tim Drake's return to the mantle of Robin after the events of DC Rebirth. Tim faces off against the Scarecrow, who is terrorizing Gotham, while grappling with his own identity and the legacy of Batman's allies. Key supporting characters like Alfred Pennyworth and Vicki Vale appear as Tim navigates his role alongside Bruce Wayne's Batman.

In "Rite of Passage Part One: Shadow on the Sun," a young Robin and his ally Clyde are on the run after fending off a gang, only to find themselves targeted by a shadowy figure and a new threat on the horizon. With Lady Shiva watching from the darkness and Sir Edmund demanding more blood, the pair seek refuge in an abandoned farmhouse—where Clyde begins to teach Robin a new way of fighting. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Tom Lyle with inks by Bob Smith, the issue features a striking cover by Brian Bolland.
