“Big Bad World”

In "Big Bad World," Tim Drake grapples with the weight of becoming Robin as he travels to Paris to train under the mystics Rahul Lama and Shen Chi. When he encounters Ling, a girl entangled with a local gang, his instinct to help leads him into a confrontation with the brutal gang—and an unexpected ally in Clyde Rawlins. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Tom Lyle, with inks by Bob Smith and colors by Adrienne Roy, this issue blends Eastern philosophy with street-level action. The cover, a striking portrait by Brian Bolland, captures Tim’s uneasy transition into his new role.
