The narrative picks up after the events of the first volume, with Damian facing new threats and challenges that test his skills and his legacy as the son of Batman. Written by Patrick Gleason and featuring art by various artists, this collection includes issues #6-10 of the series.
In "The Funniest Thing Happened...", Robin races against time to stop the Joker after his escape from Arkham Asylum, following a trail that leads to Osgood Pellinger, a reclusive computer specialist—only to find the Joker has beaten him to it. With Batman out of town and the city on edge, Robin must rely on quick thinking and instinct to unravel the villain’s next move.
In "Tomorrow a Tragedy," Jo finds herself isolated when the Batman is away, and the Joker exploits the situation with a meticulously planned strike on the Phone Company, using schematics from Osgood Pellinger to seize control of Gotham’s digital infrastructure. With the city’s systems at his mercy and Robin left to face the threat alone, the stakes rise as the Joker’s game turns deadly.
In "The Hammer," Tim Drake—Robin—dives into the gritty underbelly of Gotham’s Little Odessa, where a mysterious string of deaths coincides with a wave of out-of-town bikers. When he’s forced to go undercover at a friend’s birthday party, he crosses paths with Ariana Dzerchenko, a girl caught in the crosshairs of the Russian mob, and finds himself balancing secrets from Batman, his father, and a past he’s trying to outrun.
In "The Beast," Robin faces a storm of chaos when his childhood ex-girlfriend Ariana is taken by the Russian mob during a clash with KGBeast, compounding the pressure as the Ghost Dragons arrive seeking confrontation—just as school troubles pile on.
In "Fall from Grace," Robin uncovers the secret identity of the Huntress, leading to an uneasy alliance as they track down evidence of Russian agents involved in a counterfeiting ring. Meanwhile, Jack Drake makes the difficult decision to send Tim away to boarding school in Metropolis, testing the limits of their relationship and the cost of being a hero.
In "Circle of Darkness," Robin and the Huntress track the Commissar to his hidden base, only to be ambushed and separated. With Huntress taken, Robin must navigate the deadly trap set by the enemy, facing both physical danger and the weight of a mission that just got far more personal.
