Hale the Magician arrives at a province ruled by the tyrannical dictator Grillo, determined to rescue Governor Warren from execution and free the people from their oppressor's iron grip. When Grillo's obsession with a magical spearhead puts those close to Hale in danger, the resourceful magician must use both his wits and his fists to outmaneuver a power-mad despot and his army of guards.
